Jobs and Wozniak are OG Hackers of AT&T

That’s right, Steve Jobs himself is a former hacker of the various AT&T offerings. His target of choice was of the landline variety, but him and Woz still did a pretty good business with their Blue Boxes.

The Blue Boxes were the product they created that allowed you

to build free (illegal?) phone calls, it did so by faking some in-band signals and skipping parts of the switching system. They even sold the boxes to their classmates in college at Berkeley.
